Custom Metal Fabrications At Tusco we design, engineer and fabricate a myriad of precision stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum and sheet metal products needed for store fixtures. From simple components to complex assemblies, Tusco can cut, form, bend, MIG and TIG weld, powdercoat and assemble virtually any metal component you’ll need for your fixture. Custom design and fabrication of tooling and/or tooling fixtures is something we do almost daily.

Design, Engineering, & Prototyping

With retail environments, one size does NOT fit all.  What works in Target doesn’t work in Kroger; what Lowes wants, Home Depot doesn’t. What sells product in a Dick’s Sporting Goods won’t work in an Office Depot.  Tusco knows – we have permanent displays in virtually every type of store in North America.

Tusco’s experienced 3-D Design Engineers are adept at collaborating with clients to quickly and competently develop creative fixture solutions.  They’re armed with the most sophisticated technology, including the finest Mechanical Design Automations (MDA) available. You receive a complete three-dimensional fixture design, along with its subsequent components, subassemblies and bills of materials.  As modifications are made, the system ensures the complete compatibility of every intermeshing component. 

Preliminary fixture concepts can be quickly and accurately refined, drawn and prototyped.  All prototypes are built in-house under the close supervision of the Engineering Department and are generally built exactly as the subsequent production units.  

Finally, Tusco also knows that reliably getting the units to the store on-time without damage and with every piece required is a must.  Quick, seamless installation at the lowest cost in time and effort is a hallmark of Tusco design, engineering and execution.

Packaging

Few things are more frustrating than a fixture that arrives damaged. Packaging is an unheralded yet key part of the process, and Tusco is proud of our track record of less than .005% returns. And it’s why we put a postage-paid card in every fixture package for the installer to alert us to problems and suggest solutions. Packaging is a Tusco specialty, from fully assembled product-ready fixtures to strategically arranging components so they can be uncreated in exactly the order needed for installation.

Sales & Consulting 

How do we make your fixture project come to life? First, your experienced Tusco Sales Representative works with you to establish all of the goals your store fixture must meet, from product presence to installation parameters. Your Sales Rep then works internally with a Tusco Project Manager, who acts as liaison between Design, Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing to ensure that your needs are quickly, efficiently and accurately addressed. The Project Manager coordinates each fixture project from the initial request until the final production arrives at your door or is installed at retail. These professionals are energetic, detail-oriented and tirelessly question as they strive to know your business as well as they know their own.

Screen Printing

From tiny instructional copy on components to huge branding graphics, Tusco can meet the multi-color silk screening needs of your fixture.

Warehousing & Inventory Managment

Maximizing the production cost efficiencies of your fixtures often won’t mesh with when you need them in the field. That’s why Tusco has over 32,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and state-of-the-art Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. 

We provide a variety of inventory management services with access available via the Internet. Complete fulfillment services include processing, warehousing and maintaining your store fixture inventory while routinely providing inventory reports as well as drop-shipping services all over the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Tusco provides same-day order processing and shipping that utilizes electronic shipment tracking services. Shipping services are provided regularly by UPS, Fed-X, Emery, Aero Freight and Pilot Air as well as by common and contract carriers in truckload and less-than-load (LTL) and in our 24' box van truck.

Welding

For fixtures, we consider welding to be both a science and an art. For automated component production, Tusco employs the science of sophisticated robotic welders.  But many fixtures require the addition of a professional human touch, and other manufacturers envy the welding experience we have in-house. Aluminum or steel, TIG or MIG process, proficient manual welding is a specialty – and an art – at Tusco.

Woodworking

Wood parts for your fixture can be cut automatically using our computerized Komo VR Mach One S router.  For that special final touch we are equipped with an edge-bander to apply matching laminate edges.
