Favorite Example of Tusco’s Ingenuity: After we had been building the second generation of the paint display for Rustoleum RO2 for a few years, the customer came to us and asked us to find a way to reduce the cost without sacrificing the structural integrity of the display. We removed a steel plate stiffener from the uprights and replaced it with offset forms in the upright itself. We replaced the welded shelf brackets with a d-tab bracket with a “Y” form so that the brackets remained strong while alowing them to detach from the shelves to reduce the package height and inner-pack expense. And instead of welding a channel in each upright foot, we designed an offset to provide the strength to keep the foot from buckling under the weight of the product.
